It has been a busy year so far, to say the least. I am beyond pleased to finally have this website up and running to provide students and parents with more information about the "goings on" of Div. 3.

I will endeavour to update this page regularly to keep you in-the-know on what is happening in class and in our school.
Some important upcoming dates are:
- Monday, December 15 - Friday, December 19 - Gr. 7 Christmas Play preparation/performances
- Performances are on Thursday, December 18th @ 10:30 and 1:00, and Friday, December 19th at 9:00am (these times are all rough estimates)
- Friday, December 19- Last day of classes before Winter Break
- Monday, January 5- First day of classes after Winter Break
- Wednesday, January 7- Walk to School Wednesday
- Thursday, January 16th- Presentation of "Hall of Fame" projects
- Friday, January 17th- Gr. 6 MOOO projects due
- Friday, January 23- Professional Day (No School)
- Thursday, January 29- Assembly (1:30)
We invite all parents of Div. 3 to come out and see our gr. 7 Christmas play next week, which, each and every year, is always a humorous and fun take on some kind of topical issue. And, we promise, nothing on the teacher's strike :) . I am also very excited to have embarked on one my favourite projects of the year, the "Hall of Fame" project. This project requires students to use their reading strategies to analyze song lyrics and present their findings in a mock "conference" as a panel of experts. It involves analytical thinking, speaking, AND drama. Students often learn a great deal with this project, and have fun doing it, too.
